Are the good leeches more sanitary, more effective, or …?
I’m guessing they’re just a little nicer-looking, with cute little antennae or something. Imported especially from Angelon.
If it’s based on real world stuff, it may be ones that are bred for medical uses; it could also be a rarer breed that is more effective in some way, but doesn’t reproduce as quickly
Modern “bred for medical uses” leeches basically just mean they’re actually sanitary to use. Not so sure that’s a concern for those surgeons (or any of them in this world) though.
