  1. Welp, there goes Ami and Jane’s plan to find a pleasantly short rollercoaster line. Bet that would have been a far more impressive achievement than spying on these two.

  2. damn… mr dragonfly!

  3. So Willa’s dad was not around to help Willa’s mom, okay.

But then Willa’s grandad was not around to help when Willa’s grandad had Willa’s mom? Or is that that Willa’s grandad wasn’t around to help Willa’s grandma?

    1. dun-dun-dunnnn!s in trans-flag?
(or, to be less incomprehensibly meme-headed: huh, is mr. dragonfly transmasc? that’d be fun!)

      1. That is… *extremely plausible* on a bunch of fronts, including that being trans is apparently just considered normal in this society, and that the only time we’ve seen Younger Gran’dad, they were an androgynous young critter that didn’t actually get a name provided beyond “Gran’dad.” (They also had Nikol’s love for kicking people in the crotch, if that means anything)

    2. Or is her grandad her mother’s father, rather than her father’s father?

  4. C’mon Zander, have a little faith in Willa. She can take care of herself.

  5. I’m not sure what Zander’s implying here. Was Sir Dragonfly a deadbeat dad, or was he just often away on the adventurer equivalent of business trips, physically absent but still contributing in some way?

  6. Your intelligence is being constantly questioned Charlie Brown.

  7. Well now *everyone* is going to ruin the date

  8. This naturally raises the question of whether one with Charlie’s rare form of felianthropy is fertile when transformed.

Also the question of what the odds are that Willa’s friends will find her demonstrating that she knows how to use protection.

  9. They still think Charlie is a dude, only Willa really knows that’s not the case.

  10. Well, Jane at least knows that Willa used Silver Leaf when she was first dating Charlie.

  11. It’s interesting that the phrasic parallel here is “mom and gran’dad” who “had” kids, while “the dad” who wasn’t around is separate.
I wouldn’t even bother noting it in a more heteronormative work, but in this one the fact that they’re grouped that way makes me suspect that Sir Dragonfly might actually be biologically female.

  12. I had thought Sir Dragonfly was Willa’s grandfather and the one that raised her and that neither of her parents were around? Certainly old enough for it.
