The Mob arrives at the Palais de la D’ucar. Still singing a cannibal song.
Mob: Brains and eyeballs, throw ‘em in the pot. We got a lot of gristle to chew.
At the front gate, Officer Walleye addresses the mob as he dismounts his horse.
Walleye: Okay, everyone. Hold the ssong for a ssecond. I gotta talk on the intercom.
Walleye presses the call button on the intercom.
Intercom: [BZZT–]
A voice comes through the intercom and converses with Walleye.
Intercom: [ruffle] [ruffle] what do you hit to shut this thing u– Hello? What is it?
Walleye: Greetings, Madame. I am Offisser Walleye with the town guard. We have reasson to believe you are harboring a fugitive. May we come in?
The voice on the intercom refuses Walleye’s request.
Intercom: You may very well NOT! This is supposed to be a free kingdom, ISN’T IT? We’ll HARBOR whomever we please.
Walleye ends the conversation with a smile, as Officer Dipp wrenches the rod iron gate open with a pitchfork.
Walleye: Very well, Madame. Your funeral.
SFX: CRUNK
